Sergeant Major Gerardo E. Trevino

Sergeant Major Trevino was born and enlisted in the Marine Corps fromMcAllen, Texas.  He graduated from Recruit Training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California on December 2004 and attended Marine CombatTraining at Camp Pendleton, California in January 2005. Upon the completion of recruit training, Sergeant Major Trevino was transferred to Camp Johnson, North Carolina for training as a Basic Disbursing Technician. He was then transferred to Parris Island, South Carolina for duty as a Disbursing Technician. In May 2006, he was selected as the Non Commissioned Officer of the Year and received orders to attend Airborne School in Fort Benning, Georgia. In October 2007, he received orders to 1st Marine Logistics Group (1MLG), Combat Logistics Regiment 17, Camp Pendleton, California.

In February 2008, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and received orders to deploy with 1st MLG, to Combat Outpost Rawah, Iraq, in support of Regimental Combat Team 5, Operation Iraqi Freedom.  In March 2010, Sergeant Trevino received orders to deploy with 1st Marine Expeditionary Force (1MEF), to Forward Operating Base Marjah, Afghanistan, in support Regimental Combat Team 1, Operation Enduring Freedom.

In March 2013, Sergeant Trevino was promoted to Staff Sergeant while serving as Company Gunnery Sergeant and Company First Sergeant of CLR-17, Svc Co, 1st MLG.  Staff Sergeant Trevino received orders to Drill Instructor School class 2-14, Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California.  He served with 3rd Battalion, India Company as a Drill Instructor, Experienced Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor, and Marine Corps Water Survival Instructor Trainer.  Staff Sergeant Trevino was awarded the Dan Daily Award for being the most inspiration Drill Instructor of India Company and was also promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant on March 2016.    

In March 2017, Gunnery Sergeant Trevino was transferred to Headquarters Regiment, 1MLG, for duty as Company First Sergeant of Service Company and Food Service Company.  On May 2018 Gunnery Sergeant Trevino was selected and transferred to serve as an inspector on the Marine Corps Administrative Analysis Team (MCAAT) at Headquarters Marine Corps, Manpower and Reserve Affairs, Quantico, Virginia.  On April 2019 Gunnery Sergeant Trevino was promoted to First Sergeant and received orders to 8th and I, Marine Barracks Washington, D.C. and served as the Guard Company First Sergeant, Marine Security Forces, Presidential Support Duty.

In March 2021, 1stSgt Trevino was transferred to 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton , California for duty as Company First Sergeant of Fox Company. In March of 2022, 1stSgt Trevino was transferred to Headquarters and Service Company First Sergeant.

On November 2022 First Sergeant Trevino deployed with 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines as a battalion landing team in support of the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit. On June 2023, First Sergeant Trevino was promoted to the rank of Sergeant Major and received orders to 3rd Battalion, Recruit Training Regiment, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, CA.    

Sergeant Major Trevino's personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal in lieu of second award, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal in lieu of fourth award, and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
