Private Ryley K. Absher, Lima Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, performs pull ups for physical fitness training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, June 15. Absher is a Snoqualmie, Wash., native and was recruited from Recruiting Station Seattle. Today, all males recruited west of the Mississippi are trained at MCRD San Diego. The depot is responsible for training more than 16,000 recruits annually. Lima Company graduated June 19.
