Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego - Recruits from Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, move as a fire team through a training event during the Crucible at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Feb. 7. Recruits had to work as a team during the 54-hour event to accomplish every task given to them by their instructors. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Mike Company is scheduled to graduate Feb. 23.
