A drill instructor of Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, instructs a recruit to move faster during Obstacle Course II at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, March 24. If a recruit failed to complete an obstacle the first time, he was sent back to try it again. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Fox Company is scheduled to graduate June 3.
