Mission

Provides operational control, staff cognizance, and supervision for recruit training, recruiting operations in the WRR, and installation management in order to recruit qualified applicants, and transform them from civilians into Marines.

The battalion is comprised of Headquarters Company and Service Company.

The companies and their respective sections provide critical support to depot operations, recruit training and recruiting operations.
