Recruits of Company D, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, recieve instruction on how to properly stretch and treat injuries such as shin splints aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego Oct. 23. Afterwards recruits were taught combat care, which involved treating life threatening  injuries such as sunken chest wounds.
