Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego - San Diego, California – A Marine with Echo Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, proudly holds his Eagle, Globe, and Anchor, after completing the Crucible at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Oct. 24. The Crucible is a 54 hour long event that tests the recruits on everything they have been taught throughout recruit training, pushing through sleep and food deprivation in order to earn the title of Marine.
