#CC0000

A recruit from Lima Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, stabs a rubber tire simulating an enemy during the Bayonet Assault Course at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Dec. 27. The course helps recruits build a combat mindset as loud noises were played over the speaker to simulate noises encountered in combat. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Lima Company is scheduled to graduate Jan. 20.
