Marines of Alpha Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, run in formation during their motivation run at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Aug. 18. The run serves as the last physical training event before graduation. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Alpha Company is scheduled to graduate Aug. 19.
