A primary marksmanship instructor with Weapons and Field Training Battalion assists a recruit from Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, with his kneeling position during Grass Week at Edson Range, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Aug. 3. The PMIs corrected the recruits’ shooting positions to help make it easier when they fire their weapons. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Fox Company is scheduled to graduate Sep. 23.
