Marines from Echo Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, get released for liberty call by their senior drill instructor for liberty call at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, March 3. Family Day is the first time the new Marines are able to reunite with their families since leaving for training 13 weeks ago. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Echo Company is scheduled to graduate March 4.
