As training progresses and recruits endure more of the events that help them build confidence, they will continue to become more proficient at handling stressful situations and understand how an official inspection is run. Today, all males recruited from west of the Mississippi are trained at MCRD San Diego. The depot is responsible for training more than 16,000 recruits annually. Alpha Company is scheduled to graduate Sept. 4.
