Marines

#CC0000

Recruits of Golf Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, listen to directions while inspecting their rifle cleaning kits during rifle issue at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Calif., June 22. Regardless of their military occupation specialty, they will become fluent, knowledgeable and blindfoldedly familiar with their weapon; realizing that regardless of MOS, their proficiency as a marksman is a key attribute to being a Marine. Today, all males recruited west of the Mississippi are trained at MCRD San Diego. The depot is responsible for training more than 16,000 recruits annually. Golf Company is scheduled to graduate from recruit training on September 11.
