The gear of Pfc. Mark-Louie H. Taocta, Platoon 1007, Alpha Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, lays at the front of the platoon while the recruits conduct the Combat Fitness Test at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, April 9. Taocta had a chance to learn the knowledge and skills required to lead a platoon while speaking to others while he was waiting in MRP. This experience led Taocta to instantly earn the position of guide.
