Recruit Jesus Garcia, Charlie Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, practices his prone position while snapping in during Grass Week at Edson Range, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., April 14. During this time, instructors will correct recruits on their positions and give them tips on how they can be more comfortable. The depot is responsible for training more than 16,000 recruits annually. Charlie Company is scheduled to graduate June 5. Garcia is a native of Fresno, Calif., and was recruited out of Recruiting Station San Francisco.
