A ribbon cutting ceremony, accompanied by Brig. Gen. James W. Bierman, commanding officer, Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego and Western Recruiting Region, was held for the grand re-opening of the Bay View Marina Club aboard the depot, Feb. 28. The club, also known on the depot as the “boat house,” was rebuilt and restructured to be a more welcoming place to service members and families.  It provides equipment rentals, picnic areas available for reservations, Boston Whaler Boats, Catalina Sailboats, Ocean Kayaks, surfboards, wetsuits and much more.
