Brig. Gen. Daniel D. Yoo, commanding general, Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego and Western Recruiting Region and Jim Guerin, president, Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego Historical Society, present the Drill Instructor of the Year Award for 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, to Staff Sgt. Joshua P. LeBlanc, April 23 for his work with Co. G, 2nd RTBn, aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego. The ceremony recognized drill instructors from MCRD San Diego and included, Staff Sgt. Neil Gregory Seip, who received DI of the Year for his work with 3rd Recruit Training Battalion,  Staff Sgt. Zachary D. Curran, who was awarded DI of the Year for Support Battalion, and Gunnery Sgt. Kenneth Williamson, who received the DI of the Year (for the entire Marine Corps) for his work with 1st RTBn.
