Recruits stare up at the A-Frame obstacle during the Confidence Course Aug. 14 aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego. The A-Frame is a structure that has recruits climb a 15-foot rope, balance themselves as they walk across horizontal logs to climb up an A-shaped ladder. At that point, they are then required to climb down a 30-foot rope.
