Major Stephen Lebo

Major Lebo graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2000 with a Bachelors of Science in Economics and was commissioned an Officer in the United States Marine Corps on 24 May 2000.
He graduated F Co, The Basic School, in March 2001 and remained in Quantico as a Platoon Commander for the USNA summer training program, “Leatherneck.” He then proceeded to the Logistics Officer Course, Camp Johnson, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina in July, 2001.
Upon graduating the Logistics Officer Course in October 2001, 2ndLt Lebo reported to MTACS-38, MCAS Miramar CA and was assigned the S-4 Officer. The squadron deployed to Iraq/OIF from Feb – Oct 2003 and for OIF II.1 from Jan – July 2004. In July 2004 1stLt Lebo was assigned as the Aide de Camp for then MajGen Stalder, Commanding General 3d Marine Aircraft Wing. He deployed to Iraq as the General’s Aide for OIF II.2 from Aug 2004 – Mar 2005. In June 2005 Captain Lebo completed the Expeditionary Warfare School Distance Education Program.
In July, 2005 Capt Lebo reported to 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines as served as the S-4 Officer until June 2008. During that time he deployed to Iraq from Dec 2005 – Jun 2006 for OIF 6.1 and again from Sept 2007 – Apr 2008 for OIF 8.2.
In June 2008 Captain Lebo reported to the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. While at NPS, Capt Lebo completed Command and Staff Distance Education Program through the Naval War College. Upon graduating in December 2009 with a degree in Defense Systems Analysis, he reported to the Programs, Assessment and Evaluations division, Programs and Resources, in Washington DC from January 2010 – May 2013.
From June 2013 – July 2015 Major Lebo served as the Executive Officer for Combat Logistics Battalion 11. He deployed with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit for WESTPAC 14.2 from Jul 2014 – Feb 2015. Major Lebo reported to HQSVC BN, MCRD on 17 July 2015 and took command of Service Company on 31 July 2015.
