Marine Corps REcruit Depot San Diego - Recruits of Golf Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, receive their M16-A4 service rifle during their rifle issue aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Sept. 29. The purpose of receiving the rifles was for recruits to learn and train with them in order to gain proficiency as a marksman during recruit training.
