Recruits take part in a series of classes to learn about such things as the history of the Marine Corps and uniform standards. Today, all males recruited west of the Mississippi are trained at MCRD San Diego. The depot is responsible for training more than 16,000 recruits annually. Golf Company is scheduled to graduate Jan. 8.
