GRAD INFO

The Kilo Company Graduation Ceremony has been moved indoors to the base theater due to continued rain showers throughout the morning.

In order for the theater to accomodate the large crowds, graduation will be split into two ceremonies. Lead series (Platoons 3221, 3222, 3223) will begin first and will be immediately followed by Follow series (Platoons 3225, 3226, 3227). The timeline for todays adjusted ceremony is below.

0845 Lead Series families begin seating in depot theater
0900-0930 Lead Series graduation ceremony
0935 Follow Series families begin seating in depot theater
0945-1015 Follow Series graduation ceremony.

Please note: New Marines will still need to pick up their uniforms which will be available beginning at 1100. Once your Marine has their uniform, they will be permitted to leave the depot and begin their 10-day leave.

Thank you again to the Kilo Company families for your understanding.

Families and Friends – the following companies are on a modified training schedule and graduating one week early.

Class 26-22 (Co A): 26 Aug Grad
Class 27-22 (Co G): 2 Sep Grad
Class 28-22 (Co K): 9 Sep Grad
Class 29-22 (Co C): 16 Sep Grad

Dismissal Time:
Due to operational commitments, all new Marines will remain aboard the Depot after graduation until dismissed by their respective platoons from the Depot Theater. Dismissal time will vary but will be no later than 1500 on the graduation date.

MCCS facilities and Command Museum will be open for visitors while they wait for their new Marine’s dismissal.

Travel Arrangements:
It is recommended that you coordinate with your new Marine prior to making any travel arrangements if you plan to travel with them after graduation. For commercial airline flights out of San Diego International Airport (SAN), it is recommended to not book a departure time earlier than 1700 to allow ample time for travel to the airport and security screening.
